TWR Trade Frames, the UK’s leading bi-fold support and service fabricator, has recently invested in new machinery to further improve its infrastructure.
As TWR’s Managing Director Terry Richardson explains, the purchase of a new Urban TRA23 CNC Corner Cleaner and an Urban AKS 1805 Verti Quad will benefit the fabricator and its customers greatly.
He comments: “In these challenging industry conditions, installers work to tight lead times and need to stick to a fast-turnaround in order to satisfy end-user demands and win sales. With demand for our PVC-u and aluminium product portfolio increasing, and more and more installers using our bi-fold support service we have invested in order to offer only the best.”
Terry further explains that the new machinery will allow TWR to offer consistent quality and increase production speeds.
“We are the region’s number one Smarts and Kommerling supplier and believe in a right first time service and endeavour to provide our customers with a top quality experience. This is why were are once again investing heavily in operations; the CNC cleaner came straight from the FIT Show and is already up and running.”
The investment in machinery comes after the news that, at the beginning of the new financial year, TWR witnessed its aluminium division increase sales between March 2012 and 2013, compared to the same period the previous year.
Helping growth was its bi-fold support service. The TWR survey, supply and support service will see a member of the fabricator’s experienced technical team measure up on-site, manufacture the door, offer technical support and even assist on-site where necessary.
TWR also offer a bi-fold training school where installers and local builders can come to the fabricator’s premises and take part in bi-fold workshops. Terry says that TWR launched the service as a response to lots of enquiries from installers, and local builders, relating to technical questions about the installation of bi-folding doors.
